1. Research use only

All products listed, described, or supplied via this website (helixsource.co.uk, "the Site") are sold as reference materials for laboratory research use only ("RUO"). They are intended exclusively for in vitro research and laboratory experimentation by qualified professionals working in a recognised research environment.

2. What the products are not

HelixSource products are not:

Medicinal products as defined by the Human Medicines Regulations 2012;
Intended for use in or on humans or animals (including self-administration);
Intended for diagnostic, prophylactic, or therapeutic use;
Food, food supplements, or novel foods;
Cosmetic products under the UK Cosmetic Products Regulation;
Household, industrial, or consumer chemicals.

HelixSource makes no medicinal claim of any kind regarding its products. References to peptides on this Site relate solely to their use as research reagents.

3. Customer obligations

By purchasing from, or enquiring with, HelixSource you confirm that:

You are 18 years of age or older;
You are a qualified researcher, or are acting on behalf of a research organisation, and have the relevant scientific training to handle the materials safely;
You will use the products solely for in vitro laboratory research and not for any human or veterinary application;
You will comply with all applicable UK and local laws and institutional policies governing the receipt, storage, handling, and disposal of research chemicals;
You will not resell, redistribute, or otherwise transfer the products to any party who would not themselves qualify under this policy.

4. No medical advice

Nothing on this Site constitutes medical, pharmaceutical, veterinary, or legal advice. The information presented is for general informational purposes only and must not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice from a qualified practitioner.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HelixSource accepts no liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive loss or damage arising from misuse of its products, including any use outside the scope of RUO supply set out above. Nothing in this disclaimer limits liability that cannot be excluded under UK law (e.g. for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

6. Refusal of supply

HelixSource reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order, at any time and without explanation, where it has reasonable grounds to suspect the product may be used outside the scope of laboratory research use, or where the purchaser cannot demonstrate bona fide researcher status to our satisfaction.
